To ensure peak performance, it is important to choose the right battery size for your inverter. The battery size required will depend on the load and intended running time. As a general guide, Latronics recommend the following formulae:

Recommended battery size in Ah = 'Inverter rating in W' divide by 'input voltage' multiply by 10
(eg: 1200 W / 12 V x 10 = 1000 Ah battery capacity)
Minimum battery size in Ah = 'Inverter rating in W' divide by 'input voltage' multiply by 3
(eg: 1200 W / 12 V x 3 = 300 Ah battery capacity)
